HELP
Access
Keys
If you prefer to use the keyboard to navigate your way through the site,
there are access keys (short cut keys) on the menu on the right of each
page. They are the first letter of the link, so that Home becomes [H]ome,
for example. All the access keys are underlined.
Most browsers support access keys. To use access keys you need to do the following:
For Windows users, press "alt" plus the access key, then "ENTER".
For Macintosh users, press "Control" plus the access key.
Pressing "Enter" will then take you to the page.
Changing Text Size
If you use Microsoft Explorer, you can make the text in this website larger
by clicking on VIEW in your browser toolbar. Scroll down the dropdown menu
until you get to Text Size. You can make the text larger by clicking on
'larger' or 'largest'.
If you use Netscape Navigator, you can achieve the same result by clicking on VIEW, but instead of Text Size you will see the words 'Increase Font' in the dropdown menu.
Reading Acrobat Files - PDF Files
You will also see links to files which are Adobe Acrobat Reader (PDF) files.
If you do not have Acrobat Reader, you can download it at Acrobat.
This page tells you all about the different types of services and products Adobe offers to help you access information on your computer.
Printing Web Pages
At the bottom of each page, you will see the words 'Print this Page'. Click
on this to print a plain page of text. Clicking on File>>Print Preview
on your browser bar will give you a easy-to-read version of the webpage.
Advocacy Quotes
“Cowardice asks the question: is it safe? Expediency asks the question: is it politic? Vanity asks the question: is it popular? But conscience asks the question: is it right? And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular- but one must take it simply because it is right.” - Martin Luther King Jr.
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.” - Margaret Mead. American Anthropologist
"If you’re outraged at conditions, then you can’t possibly be free or happy until you devote all your time to changing them and do nothing but that. But you can’t change anything if you want to hold onto a good job, a good way of life and avoid sacrifice." - Cesar Chavez
First they came for the Jews
and I did not speak out because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for the Communists
and I did not speak out because I was not a Communist.
Then they came for the trade unionists
and I did not speak out because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for me
and there was no one left to speak out for me.
- Pastor Martin Niemöller
