John Lyon has considerable experience in investigating systems and methods used in a variety of disciplines within management, and extensive experience within training needs analysis assessment procedures.
As Chief Executive Officer of the New Zealand Trades Certification Board, he was responsible for the development of trade training and competency-based assessment. One of the first New Zealand initiatives to assist people with disability to successfully pass trade examinations was a scheme which he personally devised and introduced.
John is interested in the re-development of a national skills bank which will allow employers to identify skills components which can be readily assessed.
