Our Give Miami Day 2025 Journey: A Celebration of Heart, Hustle, and Community

Give Miami Day 2025 has come to a close — and what a journey it has been. This year, the Advocacy Network on Disabilities didn’t just participate; we showed up with passion, purpose, and a united team determined to reach our goal for the families we serve. And thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we did something truly remarkable.
We Started Early — With Heart (and a 5K!)

Our journey began even before Give Miami Day officially kicked off. On Early Giving Day, our team laced up their running shoes and participated in a local 5K. It wasn’t just about the miles — it was about showing our commitment to inclusion, visibility, and the families who motivate our mission every day. With every step, we carried the spirit of “a world where everyone belongs.”
We Made Noise Across Miami

From there, we took our energy straight to the baseball stadium, where we joined other nonprofits to spread awareness about Give Miami Day. Shaking noisemakers, cheering loudly, and showing our purple pride, we amplified our message: disability inclusion matters, and every family deserves support, dignity, and opportunity.
The Office Became Mission Control

When it was finally time for Give Miami Day itself, the Advocacy Network on Disabilities’ office transformed into a buzzing hub of activity. Our entire team — staff, leaders, interns, partners — worked tirelessly throughout the day. Calls were made, emails were sent, social media came alive, and everyone played a vital role in rallying support. It was teamwork at its best: a group of passionate individuals united by a shared mission and a relentless drive to reach our goal.
We Watched the Community Show Up

As the hours counted down, something beautiful unfolded. Donors came in one by one — friends, families, parents, community partners, and people who simply believe in inclusion.
When the clock struck midnight, 271 incredible supporters helped us raise $20,200 for children, adults, and families living with disabilities.
And then came an incredible surprise — the Advocacy Network on Disabilities was honored as the Give Miami Day Issue Area Bonus Prize Winner for Inclusion and Advocacy.
This recognition wasn’t just an award. It was a powerful affirmation of our mission and a celebration of the work our team pours their hearts into every day.
More Than a Number — A Lifeline of Support
Each donation meant so much more than a dollar amount.
It meant:
• A child with disabilities has food on the table tonight
• A family facing eviction can get temporary shelter
• An adult living with disabilities received essential counseling
• A parent found support, education, and advocacy
• A moment of hope replaced a moment of despair
Last year alone, our team served over 1,800 families, and because 93 cents of every dollar goes directly to programs, every gift creates real, measurable change.
A Community Where Everyone Belongs
Give Miami Day 2025 reminded us of something powerful: when people come together with purpose, compassion, and love, they can transform lives.
To everyone who donated, shared our posts, cheered us on, or simply believed in our mission — thank you. Your kindness fuels our work and keeps hope alive for families facing their hardest moments.
And to the entire Advocacy Network on Disabilities team: your dedication, energy, and heart made this journey unforgettable. This victory — reaching our goal AND being named the Issue Area Bonus Prize Winner for Inclusion and Advocacy — belongs to all of us.
Here’s to continuing the work, lifting each other up, and building a world where everyone truly belongs. 💛♾️
